Online Privacy & Security: Basic

Are you concerned about the security and privacy of your online and mobile activity? Do you want to learn practical ways to protect yourself against spies and cybercriminals? Join us to learn all about tools that can help protect you against surveillance and exploitation. 

In this class, we’ll discuss privacy options for browsers, protection against viruses and malware, more secure searching, basic encryption, cookies/cache/and history deletion, and password protection. This class is ideal for people who use their computers frequently and feel comfortable with their computer skills. If you’re not sure if this class is right for you, please contact for more information. Bring your own laptop or borrow one of the library’s laptops.
