JUNIOR BUILDING CUSTODIAN (PART-TIME)

The Junior Custodian will be responsible for performing custodial tasks such as but not limited to dusting, washing glass and other surfaces, mopping, vacuuming, stripping and waxing floors, shampooing carpets, setting up and breaking down rooms, snow removal, and other general cleaning and custodial tasks through the entire building and its exterior. 

THIS JOB IS FOR YOU IF YOU:

  • Will work cooperatively with patrons and staff to protect the Library property and assets and ensure general safety.  
  • Understand the value of good maintenance practices and customer service. 
  • Show up on time and ready to do your work. 
  • Can of work both independently and cooperatively. 
  • Demonstrate professional maturity and responsible behavior. 

MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalent is required. At least 2 years of experience in custodial services.  Three years’ experience preferred. Possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record, and able to pass a CORI/SORI and fingerprint background check. Must have basic computer skills. Maximum lifting requirements is 45 pounds. 

STARTING SALARY: 

  • $24.29/hourly + shift differential for late shifts. Excellent benefit package

SCHEDULE: 

  • Part-time (25 hours)
    • Sunday 8:30 am-5:30 pm
    • Monday/Tuesday 8:30 pm- 1am
    • Wednesday/Thursday 9 pm to 1 am
