Celebrate Music @ the WFPL

Beat the cold weather blues with our Winter Music Series, made possible by the Library Building Committee.  Concerts will be held at the library the 2nd Saturday in December, January and February.  All performances are free and open to the public.  No tickets required.

December 8th @ 2 PM - We’re pleased to welcome back Too Human!  The band will perform great jazz standards from the American Songbook – with a healthy dose of innovation and humor.  As a special treat, they’ll also present some holiday favorites.

January 12th @ 2 PM – Local musician, Daria Janssen will be giving a classical cello concert.  Her performance will feature pieces by J.S. Bach and Gaspar Cassado.

February 9th @ 2 PM – Our February performer, Scott Sanchez, will give a classical guitar concert.  His repertoire ranges from Baroque to modern day jazz.

We hope to see you there!

We’re always adding new music to the library’s CD collection, so come check it out.  Recent additions include:  RED by Taylor Swift, Unapologetic by Rihanna, Global Warming by Pitbull, Glad Rag Doll by Diana Krall and Babel by Mumford & Sons.

Also, get in the spirit this season with our Holiday music collection featuring old favorites by Neil Diamond and Tony Bennett.  Coming soon, look for new releases from Cee Lo Green, Christina Perri and Blake Shelton.
