One Book, One Watertown... and you!
We need your help! As you know, each year we select a book for the entire Watertown community to read together. We encourage everyone from high school students (and sometimes even younger!) through senior citizens to take time over the summer to read the book, and we schedule a couple of months in the fall to be chock full of fabulous programs related to the book. It’s an opportunity for people of many backgrounds and occupations to come together as a community to share ideas and build connections. Did I mention that we adore this program?
This year, we want your help in selecting the book! Staff members of the WFPL and members of the adult book group have submitted many nominations, and we’ve been reviewing the submissions and voting on them to winnow the list down to a manageable short list.
In a few short days, we’ll post a poll to the website asking for your vote! We will share a synopsis of each selection, and let you, the citizens of Watertown, select the book we should all share this year. We’re so excited about this prospect, and hope that you will be, too!
Please watch this space for details on the books, and a link to the forthcoming poll.
