Directories of Watertown businesses and residents were produced by a variety of publishers from 1869 to 1942.
The Town Assessors compiled lists of Watertown residents for a poll tax. These lists, issued sporadically from 1897 to 1929, include the names, ages, occupations, and addresses of voters.
The library has digitized resident lists created over the years to facilitate elections in Watertown.
