That was it. The History of Watertown ended circa 1900. This was the gaping hole – a lifetime – that spurred our community to action. This is how the Living History Project was born.
Born on November 2, 1824, Charles W Lenox was a lifelong resident of Watertown. A barber by trade, he also served as a sergeant for the 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry Regiment during the Civil War.
