We ask all visitors to abide by the Hatch Policies which keeps Hatch safe for everyone. You can drop in during our open hours. If it's your first visit, we'll give you a tour. If you have any symptoms of COVID-19 or may have been exposed, please do not visit Hatch.
Hatch is not at the main library, the makerspace is located at 20 Summer St. Hatch Makerspace in the same building as the Residence at Watertown Square. Instead of using their main entrance (at the corner of Spring and Summer St), Hatch has an entrance two sets of doors down Summer St.
There are limited free parking spaces on Summer and Spring St. The easiest place to park is in the municipal lot around the corner on Spring St. The cost is $.25 for 30 minutes, up to two hours. Parking is free after 6pm and on Sundays.

Hatch offers hands-on workshops on topics ranging from embroidery to laser cutting. Anything you make at Hatch, you can take home with you (with a few notable exceptions). We love projects that give you a tangible outcome that is entirely yours! Hatch also hosts several special events every year. You can register for upcoming workshops and events online or by calling Hatch during open hours: 781-795-2309.
